Exosomes
Exosomes are the newest trend for skin, hair and chronic regenerative health. Exosomes are responsible for signalling between cells and can release growth factors, reduce inflammation, create cell regeneration, and help you heal from an illness by modifying the body's immune response.
What are Exosomes?
Exosomes are extracellular vesicles (they exist outside cells) or tiny bubbles produced by mesenchymal stem cells and allow communication between cells. Other cells react to the messaging signals from exosomes, triggering a repair and regeneration cycle. The latest technologies can isolate and deliver these beneficial signalers directly rather than stem cells.
Exosomes enable the exchange of RNA, DNA, fibroblasts, proteins like keratin, growth factors, cytokines, nutrients, immune cells, and other materials between cells. There are signals in exosomes that are important for skin regeneration, mainly when applied directly to the skin. Since exomes are tiny, they can remain hidden in your bloodstream and carry large amounts of protein across barriers that you generally wouldn't be able to cross. This results in healthy younger-looking skin.
WHAT IS EXOSOME THERAPY?
This is a form of regenerative medicine whereby young stem cells can rejuvenate and regenerate older cells with new, younger stem cells. After exosome therapy, exosomes send messages to your existing cells to help heal and act younger in the body through its own regenerative process. When exosomes are introduced to an area of the body experiencing inflammation or chronic pain, they communicate to cells around that area for healing. They help the body restore deteriorating or regions damaged due to disease or injury, producing more collagen. Exosomes consist of over twice the number of growth factors improving the ability to revitalise and restore the targeted cells.
With exosome therapy, exosomes are extracted from donated and sterilised human mesenchymal cells stem cells (MSCs) containing messenger-RNA, micro-RNA, cytokines, proteins, and lipids. This is administered directly or through IV (intravenous) therapy in the treatment area.
HOW DOES THE EXOSOME TREATMENT WORK?
Treatment involves an infusion of exosomes which are usually donor samples. This is done by harvesting exosomes from stem cells. The exosomes are usually taken from the outer part of the stem cells and placed into a saline solution, frozen, and stored for use. Once ready for use, they are prepared, and a dose of exosomes is injected into the treatment area or infused via IV route. There is no toxicity dose to exosomes. We have to determine the best amount for your treatment goals.
After injection, your bodily response will begin a self-healing process to alleviate your symptoms by responding to the communication received from the new exosomes introduced into the body. Exosome treatment has no downtime, and you can resume your activities soon after the treatment. For optimal results after treatment, you should:
- Avoid any strenuous activity for 24 to 48 hours after treatment.
- Avoid exercises like weight lifting or running for four weeks and cardio workouts for at least three weeks
- Do not take any anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen or naproxen for three weeks post-treatment
Results can be noticeable in a few days, and you may begin feeling improvement in energy levels and pain. For skin care exosomes you will start seeing a reduction in pore size, skin tightening, a gradual decrease in fine lines and wrinkles, glowing skin, and even tone. The results continue improving over the following weeks and months. This depends on the severity or extent of the treatment area and the injectables used. Results may last up to 18 to 24 months.
EXOSOMES FOR SKIN REJUVENATION
Ageing causes the body to produce low amounts of collagen, elastin, and exosomes. This results in fine lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity. Exosomes increase collagen and elastin production and battle the visible signs of ageing, resulting in a firm and smooth skin. It enables the body to self-heal naturally, rebuild itself and stay soft and smooth for extended periods.
Exosome therapy can help:
- Reduce the appearance of acne scarring
- Reduce the appearance of enlarged pores
- Reinvigorate damaged hair follicles
- Improve dry skin
- Reduce redness and irritation
- Increase collagen production
- Reduce age spots
- Improve the appearance of an uneven skin tone and dullness
- Increase volume in hollowed portions of the face caused by aging
- Hair thinning/loss in both males and females
- Restore self-confidence
- Aid in the healing of damaged skin cells and tissues
- Smooth out fine lines and wrinkles
- Improve the appearance of skin lesions
- Improvement in skin texture
- Calming sensitive skin
EXOSOME FACIALS
Exosome facials are ideal for any gender and all skin types at any age. You can have an exosome facial after having other radiofrequency or laser treatments for fantastic results. This is because your healing process will be faster than expected, and you will have a better outcome. Exosome facials can also be combined with other treatments, including:
- Microneedling
- Microneedling with Radiofrequency
- Dermal infusion
- Chemical peels
- Laser Resurfacing
EXOSOMES FOR HAIR LOSS
Exosome hair restoration utilises stem cell exosomes introduced around your hair follicles to strengthen and trigger new hair growth. The exosomes are administered via injection into the affected areas of the scalp. To minimise pain and discomfort, a local anaesthetic may be issued. The exosomes are injected into the superficial dermis of the scalp. You may feel some discomfort or tenderness to the touch after treatment. This should go away after 24 to 48 hours after treatment. Exosome hair regeneration therapy can be used to stimulate new hair growth for you if you are:
- Balding
- Excessive shedding
- Hair thinning
- Hair loss or progressive hair loss
- Having the earliest stages of hair loss
- Have tried other hair regrowth treatments with little or no success
- Suffering from alopecia
- Too young to undergo a hair transplant surgery
Hair loss can result from stress hormones, hormonal
imbalances, genetics, or metabolic disorders.
Exosome treatments have no downtime and minimal risk of
adverse reactions. Hair growth may be noticeable within 2 to
3 months, becoming more noticeable within six months, and
you start to notice a thicker and fuller hairline. If you
are considering an additional treatment, it would be best to
wait a minimum of 6 to 8 months before going for it.
Additionally, your hair growth will be assessed before the
additional treatment to determine if you can undergo an
exosome injection. Your hair will continue to grow over the
course of a year.
EXOSOMES FOR ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION
Yes, exosomes help to improve blood flow abnormalities associated with ED. Even if you feel that you don’t have issues in this department, as you age, you lose strength of your erection and may not realise it. We couple this treatment with shockwave for amazing results that will make you feel like you are in high school again!
EXOSOMES FOR CHRONIC MEDICAL CONDITIONS
We have been using exosome therapy for many clients with CHRONIC MEDICAL CONDITIONS that are inflammatory in nature. If you are suffering from any of these conditions, you may want to incorporate monthly infusions with exosomes. **We are not replacing your medical treatment with exosomes as a means of cure, this is to improve symptoms associated with inflammatory disorders.**
